Keeper
Alphonse Areola (West Ham): West Ham could have been trailing by six at Bournemouth without him. Crucial performance, delivered and displayed top ability. Superb shot-stopping to earn them a 2-2 draw. Losing might have ruined their entire term.
Defensive unit
Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace): He's in the running for player of the season. People will talk about Arsenal players. He has been the standout player without doubt.
Murillo (Nottingham Forest): One would need to be a crazy Forest fan to say 'Murillo will score and we overcome Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield'. You could have gotten long shots on that. He performed brilliantly. He is emerging as a force. He can really be a challenge. I'm happy to observe his form as he did previously.
Malick Thiaw (Newcastle): I watched him several occasions the previous season in Italy for AC Milan and he struggled because he was making mistakes. But at Newcastle he's been a monster. He displays really strong and imposing and seems polished. It looks like he has secured a ideal club.
Ferdi Kadioglu (Brighton): Not naturally a defender, more of a modern type going forward. He is a wonderful signing for Brighton. Who would be surprised at them unearthing more talent out of nowhere? Many felt releasing Pervis Estupinan it was odd but the club is aware what they're doing.
Engine room
Sander Berge (Fulham) and Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest): Two of the same type and they make it for the same reason. Their teams won, all discuss the scorers, but lacking these players the sides struggle. They perform brilliantly. They disrupt opposition, they support going forward.
Eberechi Eze (Arsenal): The current star. Numerous supporters, like my child, were questioning whether he was the man to lead them to success. Three strikes in the key match and currently fans desire to make a statue of him. Finishing, poise, he dominated. The top performer on the pitch.
Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): Maybe this is aspect I share with Thomas Tuchel on - he has reached a point now where it will prove extremely tough to drop Morgan Rogers. My view was he began well the term, I believe he seemed somewhat presumptuous and believed he could have got a move to Chelsea, and likely desired it, but he appears to have adapted well. Two superb finishes obviously against Leeds pulled his side when trailing. He was the difference maker.
Strikers
Callum Wilson (West Ham): I said he seemed lacking his normal self. He appeared as if his pace had gone. But wow. That's all I can say. He shone. Outstanding in his movement and through his scoring.
Harvey Barnes (Newcastle): A really interesting player. He excels, often more effective when introduced, but with Gordon sidelined so he must start. He missed a key opening against Manchester City at 0-0 with his easiest shot. Yet possessing the mental fortitude to place himself into tough scenarios and get a brace was great.
Boss
Sean Dyche (Nottingham Forest): He steps in and outperforms Arne Slot. A superb tactical approach. Possibly it was several more for Forest and nobody could have argued.
