Two Men Charged for Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder following the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.

Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per police authorities.

Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins was taken into custody following a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were confiscated.
