I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
