Chopper Twirls Wildly into Palm Groves at Popular California Coast
An aircraft hovering over a crowded California shoreline suddenly began spiraling out of control, finally dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm trees as spectators looked on.
Recordings posted on the internet show the chopper commencing to spiral above the shoreline then falling in the direction of the border of the beach, where it gets stuck amidst palm trees and a set of stairs adjacent to the coastal road.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders said five individuals were taken to hospital comprising a pair who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the incident on that day.
Three persons on the pavement were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
