British Airways is introducing free fast onboard internet by way of satellite deal
Flyers flying with this carrier are set to access quick internet onboard at no cost following a major agreement with the billionaire's space company.
Free and High-speed Wifi Available to Everyone
The carrier stated that the no-cost, “quick and reliable” connectivity provision via the satellite provider is set to be accessible for passengers in economy, premium economy, and premium cabins from the coming month.
Expanded Deployment Over Various Flight Operators
The umbrella firm for the airline, the airline group, confirmed it had secured an agreement involving the satellite firm for providing wifi services across over 500 jets operated by their carriers, including the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, plus the low-cost airline.
Seamless Internet starting at Gate through Arrival
British Airways noted that this rollout of the service was part of a £7bn “modernization” initiative that will provide uninterrupted internet access to travelers starting at boarding to arrival, even when they are flying above seas or far-off locations.

Present Connectivity Services
Limited connectivity service remains provided to British Airways passengers on nearly all of the airline's jets via the .air platform.
Enrollees of the airline's loyalty club can send communications plus text-based correspondence in the air free of charge, whereas flyers wishing to stream audio, video, and content during their travel if not flying in first class may pay from £4.99 and twenty-one pounds ninety-nine per wifi package.
